Georgian engraved, knopped facet cut stem wine glass

Stock Number: 4969a

This is what we believe to be a Georgian, engraved, facet cut stem wine glass dating from the end of the 18th century, c1790.
The glass is in excellent condition for its age.  This means, of course, that it shows age related wear and tear to both the rim of the bowl and to the rim of the foot consistent with 200+ years of use.
The glass has a rounded funnel-shaped bowl measuring 6 cm (2.4 inches) in diameter at the rim.  The bowl is engraved with a single flower, perhaps an hibiscus, and a Hoho bird in upside down flight. The bowl sits on a diamond facet cut stem with a medial knop.  The stem leads to a conical foot that measures 7 cm (2.8 inches) in diameter.   It has a rough pontil mark on the base of the foot.  The glass is 15 cm (6 inches) in height.   There are no chips, cracks, significant scratches or any obvious evidence of restoration.
English lead glass weighing 144 g. (~ 5 oz.).
