Composite stem wine glass, bell bowl

Stock Number: 4538

This is what we believe to be a Georgian, composite stem, wine glass dating from the mid 18th century, c1750.
The glass is in excellent condition for its age.  It shows age related wear and tear to the rim of the foot consistent with 100+ years of use.  It has a rough pontil mark on the foot.
The glass has a bell-shaped bowl measuring 7.3 cm (2.9 inches) in diameter at the rim.  The bowl sits on a long section of multi spiral air twist stem, an inverted drop knop containing air tears and a short section of plain stem.   The stem leads to a conical foot which measures 8 cm (3.2 inches) in diameter.  The glass is 17.7 cm  (7.1 inches) in height.   It weighs 224 g. (~ 8 oz.).   There are no chips, cracks, scratches or any obvious signs of restoration.
English lead glass.
