Georgian cup bowl dram glass, folded foot

Stock Number: 5097

This is what we believe to be a Georgian, English, cup-bowl dram glass with a folded foot dating from the middle of the18th century, c1760.
The glass is in excellent condition for its age.  This means, of course, that it shows age related wear and tear to both the rim of the bowl and to the rim of the foot consistent with some 250 years of use.  It has a rough pontil mark on the foot which is nicely striated.
The glass has a cup-shaped bowl measuring 5 cm (2 inches) in diameter at the rim.  The bowl is plain and sits on an extruded short plain stem and a conical, folded foot which measures 5.5 cm (2.2 inches) in diameter.  The glass is 8 cm (3.2 inches) in height. There are no chips, cracks, significant scratches or any obvious evidence of restoration.
It is made from English lead metal weighing in at 65 g. (~ 2 1/4 oz.).
