Set of three George III punch cups

Stock Number: 4459a

This is what we believe to be a set of three late Georgian punch cups dating from the end of the 18th century, c1780.
The glasses are in good condition for their age.  They show age related wear and tear to the rims of the feet and the rims of the bowls consistent with some 200+ years of use.
The glasses have cup-shaped bowls measuring 6.3 cm (2.5 inches) in diameter at the rims.  The bowls are plain and support applied handles with the top applied first.  The glasses are 4.8 cm (1.9 inches) in height.  Each glass weighs 120 g (> 4 oz.).   Dimensions vary slightly from glass to glass.  The curlicue at the base of the handle has been broken off on two of the glasses.  The third is intact.   There are no other chips, cracks, significant scratches or any evidence of restoration.
